For the reader and future historian

This is an in-world documentary book. Its witnesses can lie, misremember, protect someone, or have documents attributed to them incorrectly. The established Remanence rules do not prove which god appeared here, why the event happened, or what the continuing sound truly is. The story's deeper supernatural answer is intentionally not published in this edition.
