AVARUN
ENTER THE ARCHIVE
One world. Five shores.
A thousand versions
of the truth.
The land remembers a single shape.
Its people remember different stories.
The world broke.
The stories multiplied.
Avarun is a flat world, born as one of the seeds of two beings' founding love. Once its land was a single supercontinent. Now five great continents and scattered islands stand where one connected world existed.
At the heart of its ancient catastrophe stood the Athanor: a machine that imprisoned and used a portion of a Higher Entity as energy. Repeated warnings went unheeded. Divine destruction and curses reshaped both the land and its peoples.
These are the known foundations. The Higher Entity is another seed of the creators, a sibling to Avarun. During the Breaking he fragmented across the world. The mechanism of that fracture and the creators’ names remain unresolved. Explore Remanence and ten recovered ancient records ↗ The books below offer fictional interpretations of the past.
